- How does amber work? Amber is a natural analgesic (pain reliever) and is a natural and traditional European remedy for teething discomfort. When amber is worn on the skin, the warmth of the skin releases trace amounts of healing oils on the skin, helping babies and young children stay calmer and more relaxed through teething. Amber is also recognized for its anti-inflammatory properties and benefits to the skin (helps diaper rash too!)

The translucency and color of amber depend on the amount of air bubbles contained within a piece of amber and their distribution. Some believe the color is related to the type of tree source. To the best of our knowledge one 'color' amber is not any more effective than another in soothing teething discomfort.

Infants/toddlers/children should be supervised while wearing the jewelry, and the jewelry should be removed from the child's neck when he/she goes to sleep. Despite being called a teething necklace, amber jewlery is not intended for chewing.

The string the nuggets are strung on is designed to stretch when a good amount of pressure is applied, and break if necessary. Each piece of amber is individually double-knotted on the strand. The necklace fastens with a screw clasp.

Clean with lukewarm water and a soft cloth. Avoid detergents and cleansers when possible as these substances over time will leave a residue on the amber that inhibits it's ability to release its healing properties into the skin.
Sizing
Please be sure and measure for the length you need. Some babies outgrow a size Small by 4 months - yet other children wear a Small well past their first birthday! Matching adult size necklaces are also available by special order in 18-25 inch lengths.

Bracelets
These bracelets are an accessory item to the Baltic Amber Teething Necklaces sold. As it contains less than half of the amber in an amber necklace, it is not necessarily an effective replacement for an amber necklace.
The bracelets fasten with a screw clasp. The BABY bracelet fits an apx. 4 1/4", wrist. The TODDLER Small size bracelet fits an apx. 4 3/4" wrist, and the TODDLER Large/CHILD'S bracelet fits an apx. 5 3/4" wrist. Please measure to find the best size for your little one.

Kate is the mom behind Inspired by Finn. Young Finn is the inspiration for many things – one of which is the family's Phoenix, Arizona home based shop, Inspired by Finn.
For the last several years Kate's family has become increasingly conscious of how environmental factors effect and influence our health. From the foods we eat, to the personal care products we use, the mattress we sleep on, the cleaning products we use, etc.
Before Finn was born she became especially sensitive to discovering how best to raise her child in a healthy environment. To help other parents do the same has become a passion for her.
